Registered Psychometrist & Career Assessment Specialist
Psychometry is the science of measuring psychological attributes — abilities, interests, personality traits, and values — through standardized assessments. As a psychometrist, I administer, score, and interpret these assessments to help individuals gain meaningful insight into who they are and how that relates to their study and career choices.
I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Psychometrist in private practice. This registration is a legal requirement for anyone conducting psychometric testing professionally in South Africa, ensuring that every assessment is administered ethically, competently, and in line with the highest standards of practice.
I gained most of my hands-on experience in the field while working in an educational psychology practice, where I conducted assessments with children, teenagers, and young adults — helping them navigate subject choices and early career decisions.
What truly shapes my approach, however, is my own path. I pursued my degree later in life than most, having spent years working in the livestock auctioning industry. That experience taught me how to connect with people from all walks of life — and it also taught me first-hand what it feels like to be uncertain about your direction. It is precisely because of my own journey that I am so deeply committed to helping others find the clarity, confidence, and purpose they deserve.
